On Oct. 4, the West Jefferson Marching Roughriders, under the direction of Chris Bechtol, competed in the Grove City Band Invitational.

The band’s 2025 show, titled Shadow and Starlight, features the musical selections “Prophesy,” “Thief of Polumrak,” “Darkest Night,” and “Inferno.”

This year’s field commander is Jauslynn Watkins. The show includes featured solos by Marissah Lemaster on flute and Tucker Phipps on tuba.

Theresa Alkire serves as assistant director and color guard instructor, Emerald Carter is the woodwind instructor, and Julie McMahon is the brass instructor.
