A Freecycle event will take place Aug. 16, at the West Jefferson Community Center, 230 Cemetery Road. From 7 to 10 a.m., residents may bring items they no longer need and place them in designated areas for giveaways. Please do not bring large items—instead, bring photos with your contact information to arrange pickup.

At 10 a.m., the public is welcome to browse and take home any items on display, free of charge. Items are intended for personal use only and may not be resold. Any unclaimed items at 2 p.m. will be donated to Country Closet Thrift Store.

The event is a great opportunity to declutter, help neighbors, and discover useful or unique finds. All are welcome to participate.
