Sisters Blaire (age 7) and Kinsley (age 8) McFarland of West Jefferson call the London Quarter Midget track their home base, but on Sept. 21 they joined young drivers from across Ohio at Fortress Obetz for a full day of Buckeye Quarter Midget Racing.

Kinsley claimed a victory in the Junior 160 class.

The girls have been racing since age 5 at tracks including London and West Liberty, as well as indoor winter series, making the sport a year-round family commitment. Brian McFarland also serves as vice president of the Central Ohio Quarter Midget Association, which helps organize and support local racing opportunities for young drivers.
