The Madison-Plains Marching Golden Eagles, under the direction of Shannon Cole, performed their show Orpheus in the Underworld at the 51st Pickerington Band Festival on Sept. 20 in Panther Stadium.

The music included “Dies Irae” by Giuseppe Verdi Pavane, “For a Dead Princess” by Maurice Ravel Danse and “Macabre” by Camille Saint-Saens.

The band was lead by head field commander Ashton Hicks, assisted by Harper Shook. Solo performers were Megan Hastings on alto saxophone and Amelia Southern on flute.
