Ox Roast Bicycle Tour is Labor Day

One of Ohio’s most popular and well-organized bike tours, the Ox Roast Bicycle Tour, returns for its 34th year in 2025! Sponsored by the Friends of Madison County Parks & Trails (FMCPT) in cooperation with the West Jefferson Community Association, the event takes place on Labor Day, Sept. 1.

The tour offers three routes: 33-mile, 66-mile, and 100-mile options. All rides kick off between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. near Garrette Park on Frey Ave./Cemetery Rd., West Jefferson. Riders start at the tour check-in tables at the south end of the festival, near the community building in Garrette Park (39.94004° N, 83.26794° W). Each route is marked with its designated route colors, and maps and GPX files will be available.

All rides finish back at the check-in area, where participants can enjoy the festival and use their voucher for a free Ox Roast sandwich, included with tour registration.
