Many volunteers take on the task of loading more wood into the pit to create a bed of coals to cook the Ox Roast meat on Sunday night. The roasts were placed in the ground, and the job was completed at 12:30am Monday to cook for 11 hours before pulling them and slicing them for the famous Ox Roast Sandwiches on Labor Day.  This is the 74th annual Ox Roast.
