Scary story contest
Do you have a spooky story that will give us goosebumps? The Clark County Public Library wants to hear it!
If you live in Clark County and are a child or teen between the ages of 6 and 18* submit your most original scary story by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 6.
Winners in each age group will receive a trophy and have the chance to share their story in person.
Everyone who submits an original story is invited to attend the program on Oct. 22.
Judging Criteria:
Originality
Creativity
Spookiness (no violent content, please!)
Rules:
Original stories only — no copyrighted material.
No AI-generated stories.
Stories become the property of the Clark County Public Library and will not be returned.
Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
Employees, their families, or household members are not eligible to win.
