Crisp air, crunchy leaves, and the smell of fresh apple cider can only mean one thing: fall in Ohio! TourismOhio is celebrating the season with the release of the official 2025 Ohio Fall Events Guide, the seasonal roundup of 440 must-experience events guaranteed to fill every autumn weekend with adventure, flavor, and plenty of pumpkin spice.

Now live at Ohio.org, the guide spotlights five standout events from each of Ohio’s 88 counties, making it the ultimate planner for everything from big-time festivals to small-town favorites. Organized by month and region, it’s designed to help travelers easily map out cozy date nights, family road trips, and spontaneous getaways all season long.

“Fall is when Ohio truly shines,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development which oversees TourismOhio. “Our communities turn into living postcards, filled with unique festivals, incredible food, and the kind of traditions that bring people back year after year. These 440 events don’t just celebrate the season—they showcase the heart, creativity, and hospitality that make Ohio the Heart of it All.”

This year’s cover captures that spirit perfectly, featuring a mother and daughter picking apples at Bauman Orchards’ Fall Festival in Wayne County, a Northeast Ohio favorite with U-pick apples, a hay maze, petting zoo, live music, and plenty of fall flavors. The festival runs Sept. 20 and 27 and Oct. 4.

The guide continues to showcase beloved traditions like the Circleville Pumpkin Show and the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival, while also highlighting new-to-the-guide gems like the Spring Valley Potato Festival and the Put-in-Bay Monarch Fest.

“Autumn in Ohio is an experience like no other,” said State Tourism Director Sarah Wickham. “In just a few weekends, you can wander through pumpkin-lined streets in small towns, taste award-winning wines along the Lake Erie shore, and experience the one-of-a-kind Woollybear Festival in Vermilion! With 440 events across all 88 counties, fall in Ohio isn’t just a season—it’s a statewide celebration waiting to be explored.”

TourismOhio is set to roll-out even more fall trip ideas and insider tips in the coming weeks. And, if you aren’t quite ready to trade in swimsuits for sweaters, you can still find last-minute summer adventures on the Summer in Ohio landing page.
